A very unique adhesive because it's an alcohol-based vs. solvent-based.
On the last step of the instructions for creating a dry-transfer, this adhesive is applied to the back of the Mylar Carrier film. It covers both the graphic and the Mylar, however, when the image is then laid over the target location for transfer, rubbed down and peeled back, only the image will transfer. The over-spray outside of the graphic will stay with the Mylar as it's peeled off and discarded. This happens because the spray will always stick better to the surface it's first sprayed to versus any secondary surface that it comes in contact with. During a prior step, the top of the graphic was bonded to the Mylar Carrier film by a very light 'static-cling' bond. This bond is weaker than the subsequent sprayed on adhesive. If this is unclear or just doesn't make sense, consider it a little bit of pure magic! (One included in the DecalProFX Starter kit)
NOTE: Outside of the USA and Canada the German manufacturer's name goes by GUNOLD. If you're finding it difficult to locate the "KK_2000" product, there are two other brands you can look for that works Ok. The difference is in the evenness of the spray pattern is superior with KK-2000. This type of "alcohol based" spray is used exclusively in the textile industry, best known to you and me as a fabric type of retail store). This and a few other sprays listed below are used to temporarily hold a paper "garment pattern" over cloth to make something like a shirt, etc. For cloth, it's temporary, but for our application... it's permanent!
