"TOP-10" Features of DecalPro
1) NO PHOTOGRAPHY
Daylight processing all the way... starting from your laser printer (or conventional copier) to print the image to the special transfer medium. No Photography - No Negatives - No Chemistry!
2) DARK SURFACES
All color printer toners are transparent. They only look vibrant when printed on white paper. One powerful technique is to add the WhiteTRF foil UNDER the color graphic which acts as a reflector for the toner to retain total color vibrancy. The two columns shown here are identical, but as you can see, without the added white foil reflector the colors all but disappear on the dark background.
3) CURVED SURFACES
Curved surfaces are not a problem. Sphere's are fine too as long as you don't exceed the physics of X+Y axes for a 2-dimensional graphic. Not unlike in the reverse, showing the world as a flat map. Notice we kept the vertical elements restricted but can wrap all around the golf ball on the 'X' horizontal axis. The font size of the address line is an amazing 2pt size... that's 1/36 of an inch.
4) GRAPHICS "On Demand"
Rub down your custom made graphic or text onto any surface. You can even transfer an image to a wax candle! Even commercially made (send-out) dry transfers can't do this because they all have to be burnished down with a lot of pressure, and that would damage a candle for sure.
5) COLORIZE PLAIN BLACK TONER TO METALLIC SHADES & WHITE
Easily convert any printed image on a B&W laser or copier, into a true metallic color, holographic shade, white, gray, black, etc, in one quick step. The Starter Kit contains all 20 Toner Reactive Foil shades.
6) COST PER IMAGE
Sending out for dry-transfers to be made is always expensive, averaging $100 per page / per color. There obviously isn't any upfront cost when you "Send Out" for images as you're paying "by the page". Our system costs ~$250 for the Starter Kit, the Laminator and UPS shipping to your door... but your cost to then make graphics is just 3¢ per square inch.
Images with our process are considered permanent transfers, however, they can be removed if need be. To afford this capability, our system uses an alcohol-based spray adhesive instead of conventional "solvent-based" adhesives. You can remove any image, due to an error in placement or re-placement at a later date. Isopropyl or Ethyl alcohols ("Rubbing Alcohol" as commonly referred to) generally do not cause surface damage. To remove an image you lay down some cellophane tape and lift to breakup the image, then wet with alcohol which wicks under the image and softens the adhesive so it can be wiped off the surface.
8) TRANSFER TO ANY SURFACE
Transfer to any surface from metals to a wax candle, including extremely delicate surfaces like silk because, unlike commercially made dry-transfers, our process transfers with mere finger pressure - no hard burnishing over the graphic to make it transfer.
9) SCRATCH RESISTANT
All "topical" decal types can be scratched if a sharp object happens to drag across the surface. However, very few uses fall into this situation so no overcoat protective spray is really needed. Because dry-transfer decals are extremely thin they are inherently scratch-resistant because the edges of images are not raised. We're talking about a graphic that is so thin that after transfer, if you close your eyes and rub your fingers over the graphic, you are hard pressed to even feel where it has been placed.
10) CUSTOMER SUPPORT:
We're always here for direct, unending technical support so you're never 'on your own'. We're available by phone or email from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Saturday.
Are there any limitations to DecalPRO? ... yes, there are two
1) No Inkjet, wax or Brother® printers:
Images have to be toner-based using any standard laser printer or conventional photo-static copier, both B&W and Color. You can however, use an inkjet, wax or Brother® printers indirectly. By that we mean you would print your images on regular white printer paper and then use any conventional photo-copier to re-print this image onto the transfer paper, then continue with the rest of the process steps.
2) Maximum Image Size:
The maximum decal size is 8" x 10" with the protective border (that is then be trimmed off before transfer is made) so the effective maximum size would be 1/2" smaller (7-1/2" x 9-1/2").
